Retinex and Flix: genaral rules for correct use
RETINEX, RETINEX 5 AND RETINEX GEL
WHITE WINES
- BEFORE BOTTLING: Should be added three days before bottling on protein stable wine.
- SECONDARY FERMENTATION:
- Can be added to base sparkling wine during the filling of the autoclave before refermentation.
- can be used in base wines the day before bottling for sparkling with Champenoise method. VINIFICATION: It can be used on must, turbid wine, even three days before clarification
RED WINES
- BEFORE BOTTLING: In preparation for bottling: make the addition, wait three days, then clarify with gelatine and immediately with bentonite (to stabilise the wine normally). After 7-10 days tranfer, filter and bottle.
- VINIFICATION:
- Can be added to wine at the end of fermentation.
- As alternative to clarification: make the recommended addition and keep the wine at 0°C for 4 days, after which decant and filter. - AGING: When transferring the wine to barriques or wooden barrels.
Note: In red wines it should never be added after fining.
FLIX AND FLIX LIQUID PLUS:
- Best choice: add it with a dispenser placed after the microfilter. Alternative: Add tricly either 30 days or one hour before bottling.
- Do not exceed the dosage of 30 g/hl in wines intended to be microfiltered at 0.65-0.45 microns.
- With the use of 3-5 micron microfilters, dosages can be increased to a maximum of 100 g/hl for flix and 400 cc/hl for liquid flix.
